Opening requirements are of the Category, Audio Visual Devices.




When working with opening requirements there is a vast amount of requirements per project. 

 

Open Quick Opening Settings to define up to six different requirements which will appear on the six buttons.

Free text any requirement and save. These values are saved per user per computer. 

 

It's possible to the values at any point.

The text for each button is now updated.

 

It's recommended to connect each requirement to a keyboard shortcut. Note: Restart Revit to have the text from the requirement to be updated in the keyboard shortcut list. Otherwise, it will still be Quick 1-6 from the start

The Tool itself only lets the users select openings, categories Windows and Doors.

 

For Windows, it will appear a blue text with a border around it.

 

For Doors, it will appear a blue text, without a border around it.

Both opening requirement symbols have three sizes, they are named

 

  • 1_L (Large)
  • 1_M (Medium
  • 1_S (Small)

 

In short it is three different text sizes

 

  • 1_L (2mm)
  • 1_M (1.5mm)
  • 1_S (1mm)

Door requirements have four requirement parameters. 

 

  • AcousticReq_AcousticRatingDoors where the text from Opening Requirement will be pasted. It’s possible to manually enter this data as well or change an existing value.
  • AcousticRatingReq = AcousticReq_AcousticRatingDoors, this is the parameter from BuildingSmart.
  • AcousticReq_Comment is a multi-text parameter. It’s possible to write any extra information on this parameter which would be useful for the other stakeholders.
  • AcousticReq_DoorSweep, if the door requires a door sweep to fulfill the acoustic rating.

 

BFT_GUID is a parameter, showing the user that this specific requirement is connected to a component in the linked model

Window Requirement have four different Acoustic Requirement parameters

 

  • AcousticReq_AcousticRatingWindow where the text from Opening Requirement will be pasted. It’s possible to manually enter this data as well or change an existing value.
  • AcousticRatingReq = AcousticReq_AcousticRatingWindow, this is the parameter from BuildingSmart
  • AcousticReq_FixedWindowAcousticRating, if the user wants to send two suggestions to the other stakeholders, R’w XX dB if it is a window that opens or R’w YY dB if it’s a fixed window.
  • AcousticReq_Comment is a multi-text parameter. It’s possible to write any extra information on this parameter which would be useful for the other stakeholders.
