Much information about the acoustic ratings is on room level. As engineers Spaces will be used in Revit, which can be found under Analyze → Spaces.

 

Use space separators if necessary to divide the room into several spaces.

 

Generally, avoid tag on placement when placing spaces. Make sure it’s not selected before placing spaces.

The spaces have four different acoustic requirement parameters:

 

  • AcousticReq_AbsorptionLevel
  • AcosuticReq_AcousticRatindRoom [dB(A)]
  • AcosuticReq_AcousticRatindRoom [dB(C)]
  • AcosuticReq_AcousticRatindRoom [dB]

 

When using the pure AcousticRatingRoom parameter, it will be the only rating to want to show as a tag in the room.

 

When using AcousticRatingRoom[dB(A)] and AcousticRatingRoom[dB(C)] the engineer usually wants to show both values in the space tag and convey both to the other stakeholders.




Here it will showcase the two different values, both as only Acoustic Rating and with (A) & (C) dB.



Go back to Analyze → Space Tag,

In the Type Selector, choose either BFT_SpaceTag_AcousticRating_dB or BFT_SpaceTag_dBA_dBC


Either the AcousticRating is shown alone, as in this case “45”, or show as dB(A) / dB(C) symbol.



It’s also possible to write 35dB(A)/55dB(C) in the AcousticReq_AcousticRatingRoom field, and instead of using tags, use color schemes to display the different requirements.
